one pan bacon and eggs

I actually got up early to make breakfast today.

Recipe: One Pan Bacon and Eggs
Ingredients
  • 2 eggs or more if you like
  • a teaspoon of butter
  • bacon 5cm x 2cm ( you can substitute this with cut up pieces of cooked sausages, about 1cm in thickness)
  • parsley (i used spring onions)
  • toasted bread
  • optional: 1 button mushroom
  • salt and ground black pepper
  • increase ingredients for more people

What to do:
It's really simple! Doesn't even take 5 minutes.

  1. Grease a pan with the butter and throw in the mushrooms and ham/bacon/sausages once the butter has nearly all melted.
  2. Stir mushroom and bacon around the pan until well coated with some of the butter.
  3. Crack the eggs into to pan. If you like your yolk to be a runnier, simply let the yolk sit for a bit.
  4. When the egg white starts to cook, you can create 'holes' in the yolk by poking them to let the yolk seep to the bottom of the pan and cook.
  5. Turn off the heat when your eggs are a bit undercooked to your preference because the hot pan will continue to cook the eggs even after you've turned the heat off.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle parsley or spring onions over it.
  7. Toast your bread and eat it with your eggs!

This other one, I made, has tomato, a few teaspoons of curry flavoured tuna and crispy bacon instead of mushroom.

Hi there! My name is Anna. I'm nineteen, in my second year of uni (UNSW) and born in Sydney. This blog is about my gastronomic adventures in Australia and abroad. It all started when I got new camera (Samsung Ex1) and since then, I've been mainly taking photos of food. So, I decided to document everything on this blog.

I'm still learning to take nice pictures - my camera isn't exactly the greatest but it works.

Oh, and I think we should get this out of the way (just in case you decide to unfriend me) I'm not a fan of chocolate or coffee. (Yes you saw right).

Anyway, enough about me - thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!
