maria's bakery inn, burwood

this has been my dad's favourite bakery since forever! we buy everyone's birthday cake from here too. every week my dad asks me to buy him 5 plain buns for him to bring the work for the whole
week! doesn't he get tired of them??
shop front:

sponge cake ($1.00):
sesame seed plain bun ($0.90):
pineapple bun ($1.60):

ok the sponge cake is soo soft! (in a good way of course) it was slightly warm when i bought it.
one of the best sponge cakes i've tasted! the sesame seen plain bun is very aromatic! very soft but too plain for me :( . this pineapple bun is THE BEST!!! the top is sort of crunchy (in a way like fragile crunchy and the bottom is soo soft. i need this pineapple bun sifu to teach me how to make buns like that :'(

2 pound durian cake ($38.00):

this cake was from last december.. my brother's birthday hahaha. best durian fruit cake i've tasted so far.

a total of $6.20 for 4 sesame seed plain buns, pineapple bun and soft sponge cake.

Hi there! My name is Anna. I'm nineteen, in my second year of uni (UNSW) and born in Sydney. This blog is about my gastronomic adventures in Australia and abroad. It all started when I got new camera (Samsung Ex1) and since then, I've been mainly taking photos of food. So, I decided to document everything on this blog.

I'm still learning to take nice pictures - my camera isn't exactly the greatest but it works.

Oh, and I think we should get this out of the way (just in case you decide to unfriend me) I'm not a fan of chocolate or coffee. (Yes you saw right).

Anyway, enough about me - thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!
