"We can get cheap meals if we just join all the clubs!"

I remember hearing this quite recently and my friends and I had thought to ourselves that it would be really good idea. We began to join all the clubs at university that kept us posted about any discounts or specials. But as the year progressed, we soon lost track of our memberships in the various clubs and our inbox was flooded with mostly irrelevant discounts and offers.

For students like me, Cuponation is a gold mine of the best online deals and savings - it's pretty much a student's dream come true! For many of us, we face the challenge of eating well and socialising while dealing with a super-tight budget and a ridiculously busy schedule. You'll find the best deals for food items at Cuponation since it presents you with the latest and most lucrative deals from major brands and online sites.

So a few days ago, I was browsing through the site and came across a couple of neat deals from Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar! I decided to use the free Crust delivery deal in conjunction with my pizza order.

seafood ($22.00):
Marinated tiger prawns, scallops, mussels, sun-dried tomatoes and bocconcini on a tomato base, garnished with fresh herbs and lemon. My first impression of the seafood pizza was that the there was a generous serve of tiger prawns, scallops and mussels. The seafood is still succulent and thankfully hasn't been overcooked. This was my parents' favourite.

half/half ($21.00):
For our second pizza we couldn't decide on the one pizza so we ended up going with the half/half option.

wild mushroom wagyu:
4+ marble score wagyu beef, portobello, shiitake and oyster mushrooms, asparagus, caramelised onions and toasted pine nuts on a bechamel base. The sweetness from the mushrooms, asparagus and the roasted nutty taste of the pine nuts helped bring down the richness of the wagyu. Overall I did enjoy the pizza but thought it was a tad bit too dry - I would have liked some extra sauce.

peri peri:

Marinated chicken breast fillets, shallots, roasted capsicum, caramelised onions and bocconcini on a tomato base, topped with peri peri sauce. This was my favourite for the night! The flavours are strong, the chicken is tender and the capsicums are sweet - loved it.

Having enjoyed the food, I would definitely order more Crust pizzas when they have more deals on Cuponation.

Oh and the good thing about the site is that it's not just food items, there are deals for things like electronics, fashion, travel as well as mobile, broadband and TV services - which is even better for university students! And if you're super disorganised (like myself), the great thing is, by just signing up to the one site, you can gather the best deals in just one email.

Hi there! My name is Anna. I'm nineteen, in my second year of uni (UNSW) and born in Sydney. This blog is about my gastronomic adventures in Australia and abroad. It all started when I got new camera (Samsung Ex1) and since then, I've been mainly taking photos of food. So, I decided to document everything on this blog.

I'm still learning to take nice pictures - my camera isn't exactly the greatest but it works.

Oh, and I think we should get this out of the way (just in case you decide to unfriend me) I'm not a fan of chocolate or coffee. (Yes you saw right).

Anyway, enough about me - thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!
